I really want to dye my hair black. Right now it's a medium to dark brown. I'm glad it's dark, but I would love black. I dyed it black for my Halloween party and EVERYBODY told me I should really dye it. My mom agreed, but then my mom's friend said she was getting her tips (short and spiky) dyed purple-black because she wanted to be punk. Now I'm stuck. My mom doesn't want me to anymore. Oh, she's not doing it for that. We just like it. :) So...any advice for how to convince her? On this and other things?

Maybe it's a financial concern. If you are looking to have your hair "colored" not dyed (you aren't killing it), then suggest that she takes you to a Beauty School to have it "colored" professionally. The Beauty School service will be much less expensive than a Beauty Salon. Maybe extra chores and help around the house on a consistent basis will be a way to show your Mom that you are willing to help her more, all the time, to show her that you love her, appreciate her and want to thank her in advance for letting you color your hair. Work out a payment plan. Mom, if I do this...this... and this around the house on weekly basis, to lessen your load of work, then can I have my hair colored?

Why don't you have her with you when you dye it,after that she will know when you tell her what you will do or don't do she will trust you on your word,have fun,love your Mother for caring
