Why do so many people hate the NYY? The team to hate is the Red Sox...?

I really don't have a baseball team but I love the sport. I've always respected the NYY because they are professionals play there butts off and present themselves well. Huge amounts of loyal fans that expect championships. But why are they hated? ARod I understand like a debutant playing third i get that, as well as Clemens, but the rest of those guys are great pros. How can you hate Mo or Posada, Jeter, Pettite great pros.

On the other hand the Red Sox a bunch of talented slobs playing baseball Manny's hair is down to his waist with a flipping do rag on his head with a B logo. Ortiz is maybe the most clutch hitter I've ever seen that happens to run as fast as I walk and can't move on D. Schilling is a punk. I can't stand the unshaven showers optional look. Barely a dress code just seems disrespectful to the fans and MLB. The Red Sox are the new hated team. I never understood the hate for the Yankees. Go Indians!

yankees dont play there butts off, they play their pockets off considering practically every player has over 100 million bucks

i respect jeter and posada, thats it. the yankees dont have loyal fans, they didnt say a word during allstar break, and booed the player that is now going to be al mvp all season last year, they are rude and obnoxious and whenever thehy are in an argument with a mets fan theyre closing statment is ALWAYS "we have 26 rings"

the Yankees are a classy organization, they play the game right. although i do admir many of the players are overpaid and arent as good as theyre made out to be. however throughout history they have done so much, and contributed a lot to the game.

George steinbrenner is a great man and does not get the credit he deserves.

while many other owners are pocketing the money their team brings in, george puts it back out on the field year after year.

the reason the yankees are so successful yeear in and year out is because of this. he pays top buck to put the best players out there for the fans.

not to mention the contributions and donations he has made to various charitys and organizations. he is a truly respectable man, and should get more credit from others.

the yankees overall are a classy organization from the owner to the players and coaches who also raise money and donate for many groups.

there is so much more to say.

not that other teams have no class, most do, but the yankees play clean and respectable on and off the field.

Lets face it. Both team's fans nearly hate each other. No matter which one you choose the other team will have something bad to say about your choice. I personally favor the Red Sox myself.

I hate the Yankees due to the fact that they try to buy wins. Who in their right mind would pay all that money to Roger Clemens? Their owner is a pompus annoying baboon who thinks threatening a managers job will provoke his players. Well it doesn't, it just makes them hate you more.

To tell you the truth, it's their fans that I hate most about the Yankees. They are always bragging about the 26 World Series won. Okay...well chances are you wern't around for most of those victories. They are who we call bandwagon fans.

As of late though, they seem to be making some progress the right way though. They arn't over-spending for mediocre players/ They're instead shipping off useless baggage for minor league talent. Like that Gary Sheffield trade last year was brilliant. They got rid of a nuscense and got some quality players in return. Plus they have Phil Hughes and Joba Chamberland.

Stilll hate them though...

Obviously you dont know much about baseball if you say that they present themselves well. Last time I checked Giambi has been in the middle of almost every steroid rumor in the news. And the fans in my opinion should not expect championships with a horrible GM in Brian Cashman. Sure he got A-Rod but look at some of the worst signings hes done. Giambi, Damon,Farnsworth, and do i even have to say anything about Pavano. They are overrated and ESPN makes them look good by predicting them year in and year out to do good.

Steinbrenner is a jail warden.."shave off those sideburns". They almost always spend the most, the Red Sox had to do the same just to keep up since they're in the same division, and do I even have to mention the name "Bucky Dent"? Enough said.

I guess you don't watch hockey, huh? Almost every player grows a "playoff beard" at the start of the playoffs. I guess it's disrespectful to have a full fledged beard even though you made it to the finals for your fans, eh?
