I'm thinking of changing my hairstyle?

Right now my hair is very dark and long (about to the middle of my back) It's naturally very curly/thick/poofy. I want to change it to something different- not too short though. I was thinking maybe something 'punk' because that's the style I'm into. The problem is that I'm not sure how to cut it so that it would look good with my hair type. I also want it to be straight and I'm not sure if there's a way to get it straight without having to straighten it every single day. I think I might want to change the color, but I don't know anything about bleaching my hair.

First off, go to a salon and tell them what you want to do. Go find a picture on the net of some girl who has a hair cut you really like, print it, and take it to them. You probably want to start using an anti frizz, straightening shampoo and conditioner. Sleek look is good, but it's like $15 a bottle, so if you want to go cheaper, try frizz eaze straight ahead shampoo, conditioner, and serum. you can find that at pretty much any store.

get your hair thinned and get it cut to your shoulders or alittle longer and angle it or layer it with bangs.

Ok so i think maybe get choppy layers. Go to a salon and ask them to make ur hair thinner, they can, like, razor it or something and that makes it not so thick. You can get your hair chemically straightened, like a straight prem, but its expensive nd ull hav to keep touching up the roots cause theyll be curly. ANy way, so, yeah i hope that helps. =?)

you could get a relaxer to straighten your hair and you should go to a pro in order for everything to turn out as planned.

good luck

Change your hairstyle by wearing it different ways, for example an up do, half up, a high ponytail, two braids, or a French Braid. Do not cut or opt for straight hair. I have hair like you but blond, and it gets even puffier when shorter, and forget about straight, too damaging. Everyone loves the curls anyway. Wear a skeleton headband or bandanna for a punk look.
