i cant really be myself anymore since everybody steals our look or image for example i dress in skinny jeans ballet flats and volocom shirts and has always had my hair in a chopped up look but people all started doing that these year and rappers even try to steal our image to like "PARTY LIKE A ROCKSTAR?? i hate that song and i hat rap and hip hop and everything else but rock punk and metal but posers dress like me now they listen to rap but dress like rock??? CAN ANYONE BE THEMSELVES NOW??!!!! i dress like this way before it became popular now i have to find sumthing else i like that its way diffrent from everybody!! does anyone fell the same or knows what im talking about or can help??!

yea i understand u.I hate that song too it's a song for posers. LIke i'm black but i'm emo. I'm veeery versatile, hate most rap but i love everything from gothic metal to hip-hop. I dress punk, hiphop, mod, emo, everything...and ppl often wanna "budge my style" becuz it LOOKS NICE. I dress from my emotion and MY mind, not from other ppl.

Well anyways, I think it's retarded that people dress a certain way because of the music they listen too or copy what they seen in music videos. The emo look for instance, If people like music like that they all get the same hair cut, stop eating, wear skinny jeans, ton of eye makeup. I mean I like rock but I'm not going to dress like a rocker or start doing coke and drinking vodka.

I know what you mean. But hating the other people that took your style and mix it with what you don't like isn't right. You don't have to find somthing else. Just take the look and make it so you that no one can change it. Take your most unique feature and make your cloths (the same clths you were wearing before) and make them fit that one aspect of you. be simple and not have style.. i'm not sure in your case though, ur a girl. but, that's what i do, not have style, but not in a dorky/geeky/bad way that looks very bad. i know, but a lot of people actually like both. like me, except i don't like metal much and i get annoyed by posers who try to be all "hardcore"

I think your insane! Why cant people listen to what they want to and dress the way they like. So your trying tell me that you want everyone who listens to rap to look like they listen to rap or everyone who listens to country must wear a cowboy hat, leather chaps and a cowboy boots. I listen to rap, do you hate me? I also listen to rock, metal, techno, punk, classical, jazz, r%26amp;b, and anything else that sounds good to me. Im in two bands, one metal and one alternative. I think you need to broaden your horizons and stop defining yourself by what you wear and listen to. I believe a person should have no idea what the hell your into just by looking at you, thats called judging a book by its cover. Maybe if you talked to some of the people you "hate" cuz they listen to rap or metal u'll find you have more in common than you think, and if you want people to judge you by your cover then so be it, cuz i really think people who dress like you look stupid, its retarded that scene boys and girl look exactly alike, find your own identity please!

i agree with "hot carl". dress however you want. people don't dress differently to be dressed differently, they dress differently because how they want to dress isn't how everyone else wants to dress. if you wear skinny jeans, then someone else wears skinny jeans, you shouldn't buy something else just because they're wearing skinny jeans. you should keep wearing skinny jeans because you like them. and, you shouldn't be asking what to wear on yahoo answers, so there is your second problem.
