Any ideas?

im thinking about getting highlights in my hair and i need some ideas

i have black hair and tanned skin

i am what most people consider punk/emo

so i want something that will look good and at the same time something that will express me

Hm, well if you want to get kind of daring you could do some streaks in un natural colors (like blue, red, purple etc). They would look really cool against dark hair. I don't know exactly how you'd get them but i'm sure you'd probably have to get the streaks lightened a lot (like blond) before you'd be able to dye them funky colors.

Or, if you're not really into that, get coppery or red highlights. They really show in the sun and look great when the sun hits them.

If you already have emo hair, and your base is already black dark you could have chunky hi-lite under the very top section (which is left dark) and have the hi-lite peak through from underneath. they could be red, copper, any color even blue! ..or you can bleach out sections of your hair. The section on top is a diamond section and the hi-lites should be slices or weaves depending on how much you want.

hi-lites coming from underneath look more cool than on top for emos.

get something like pink and green tips or splotches!! or something more masculine if u want... that usually looks realyl good

i would get brown tips and random splotches of red. not like highlights but it looks like someone splattered you with paint and only in your hair. three or four should work. that usually looks good with that kind of hairstyle
